The following are two types of silicone rubber backlit keypads
Laser Etched Backlit Keypad: This keypad type involves precise procedures, including color spray coating on silicone keypads and laser etching to create backlighting effects. After engraving, most keypads require PU coating or matte smooth processing to protect layers and legends. The quality and costs are contingent on accurate color spraying and PU coating. Thin sprays risk light leakage, while thick coatings can impact keypad size, complicating assembly. Additionally, PU-coated keypads cannot be reworked, leading to increased expenses.
Translucent Silicone Backlit Keypad: This type leverages the inherent transparency of silicone materials. Various silicone types exhibit different levels of translucency, with higher-quality silicone displaying superior transparency. Liquid silicone’s natural color is almost transparent, serving as an ideal foundation for achieving vibrant backlighting effects.
